In a bid to fortify disaster management initiatives in Indonesia, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has embarked on a collaborative journey with the Research and Development Institute (RDI). The culmination of this endeavor was marked by a comprehensive discussion held on March 8, 2024, at the esteemed Permata Hotel Bogor.

The convergence witnessed luminaries from both BNPB and RDI, including Dr. Irene Sondang, Hoferdy Zawani, Akhirul Insan, Abimanyu Arya, Cecilia Nonifili, and Alifa Zalfa, alongside representatives from various units and departments of BNPB. This gathering epitomized a synergy aimed at sculpting the blueprint for disaster resilience for the period spanning 2025 to 2029.

The focal point of the discussion was the exploration of potentials and challenges embedded within Indonesia’s disaster management landscape. Insights gleaned from this deliberation were meticulously distilled into a comprehensive SWOT analysis, shedding light on the inherent strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats prevalent in the domain.
